Administrator Features
Administrators have access to a comprehensive set of management views under the Configuration section of the navigation menu. Together, these views cover the full lifecycle of issue tracking configuration: defining how issues are categorized, how they move through workflows, and who has access to which functionality.
-
Projects — Create and manage projects. Each project serves as a container for issues, members, and time tracking. Administrators can configure project-level settings, manage memberships, and archive or close projects.
-
Trackers — Define issue types (e.g., Support Request, Bug, Feature). Trackers determine which fields and workflows apply to issues of each type.
-
Issue Statuses — Manage the set of statuses that issues can have (e.g., Opened, In progress, Closed). Each status can be marked as closed to indicate issue resolution.
-
Workflows — Configure which status transitions are allowed for each combination of role and tracker. Workflows control how issues move through their lifecycle.
-
Custom Fields — Define additional fields that extend the default issue, time entry, or project data model. Custom fields support various data types and can be scoped to specific projects.
-
Enumerations — Manage enumerated value lists used across the system, including issue priorities and time tracking activity types.
-
Users — View and manage user accounts, including activation status and administrator privileges.
-
Groups — Organize users into groups for simplified permission management across projects.
-
Roles and Permissions — Define roles that control what actions users can perform within projects they are members of.
-
Settings — Configure global application settings for the Issue Tracker, including display options, project defaults, issue tracking behavior, time tracking rules, and email notifications.
